rémi.fr x pablo rochat

The story, the passion and the dream of two newcomer artists.

In May 2024 a good friend and I had the chance to spend a few days with the rapper rémi.fr and his producer pablo rochat. Starting off with concert photography during their performance at Fete de l`Europe in Dresden, Germany, we then joined them for some typical studio days. We accompanied them for two days in their adopted hometown of Berlin and got a glimpse behind the scenes. From a song recording in their studio to an interview and release party for their newly released music video `Pacifica´.

The whole project was recorded in a photo book with accompanying interview texts.

`To have complete freedom in our own art, to be able to do what we want and to have the ability to hop on every single beat every single beat, be it old school, be it techno, be it drum'n'bass techno, be it drum'n'bass, be it hyperpop, be it trap, with or without autotune. That's much more fun than having to subordinate ourselves to a genre.´
